The Golden Door
The universe is full of [spiritual] doorways, but people ignore them. We stand and beacon but no bodhisattva will save a person who does not wish to be helped. As rushing waters of greed and hatred carry souls over the abyss, our golden voices chime out:
Stop and think before you harm others. Do not be overwhelmed by greed and hatred towards others of your species. They have souls and loves as you do; they too want a good life. They suffer as all people do and seek lives that are happy. We send life preservers into the storm waters giving people a chance at salvation helping them avoid being draw into the dark whirlpools of karmic vengeance. In the great struggles between love and power, power has generally won. Love is redefined as protection, which means fighting enemies. It becomes the goal of current hatred.
But beneath the veils of earthy illusion, we have the lost paradise - the world in which war is not necessary. But religious teachings have been twisted, and the paradise of love is now believed to be a future world gained through war, murder, and hatred.
So the golden door remains but few enter it. It becomes unimaginable to those who seek paradise.
And yet the paradise remains where love and awareness are shared. I am called the future Buddha but I am here now ready to bless those who call upon me. I do not bring a new world - only what the old world should have been.
I call shining hearts to remember their origins.
